Nawty Dawg Big Heart

Whether you are an old friend or new, one thing you will learn quickly, is that Ecco is passionate about helping a friend in need. Ecco makes a point of slipping a little money every month to many charities or animals that might have an urgent need. As his Facebook page grew and more needs became known, it became apparent that Ecco’s personal funds were not sufficient to get the job done. Saving the world single pawedly is simply too big a task, so he enlisted his faithful pack to join him on this giving mission.

Currently, Nawty Dawg Big Heart is in the process of being established as a non-profit organization. All of the gifts received (monetary and other) go directly into an account to be re-distributed to other charities or individuals who are unable to pay an emergency vet bill. There is a nominal fee deducted to cover PayPal processing. Your donations can be used as a tax deduction as soon as our status has been approved.

The recipients of our gifting are chosen each month through various means. Ecco is often asked to participate in fundraising events sponsored by his faithful friends. Schedule permitting, he barks at the opportunity to raise a buck or two for a good cause. Every once in a while, Ecco has a surprise contest on his Facebook page (Ecco D’Oro).The winner is the recipient of a donation made to the charity of his or her choice. This is great fun and it provides an avenue for folks to give when they might not have the means to do so. Ecco appreciates the countless hours that our volunteers spend re-homing unwanted animals. He is passionate about doing his part to help our friends find “furever” homes. Ecco supports rescue organizations whenever possible. Occasionally, an urgent message is received about an animal requiring immediate medical care. Saving a life is always a priority.

In the past few months, Ecco has made monetary contributions to more than 25 organizations and individuals in need of funds. In addition to money, Ecco has donated treat baskets, portraits and other items enabling non-profits to raise money for their various causes. His latest contribution was made to a lovely autistic girl using this “seed money” to create gift baskets for children with cancer who are in hospitals around the country.

HELP THE HEART GROW

Please “help the heart grow”! We understand that times are “ruff” so we have come up with a few brilliant ways for you to support NAWTY DAWG BIG HEART . First, head on over to Facebook and “like” Ecco D’Oro! This is how it all begins! Networking is vitally important. It costs absolutely nothing but a few minutes of your time. (Fess up! You’re messing around on the computer anyway or you wouldn’t be reading this!) How can this help? Once you and the “Big Dog” are pals, send your friends over to meet him. Ecco invites everyone to treat his dawg house like its their own. Every day there are informative posts about animals in need, success stories and humans who require assistance or offer a resource. Most importantly, we have cultivated a pack of loving hearts that can spring into action without skipping a beat (not to mention we have way too much fun)!

A second idea is to make a monetary contribution through our secure PAYPAL link. Every cent is re-gifted (after the small PayPal fee is deducted). This is a wonderful way to memorialize a pet or loved one while saving the lives of others.

The third suggestion is to purchase an exclusive Nawty Dawg Big Heart product! We have a mouth watering, “unique” product line on the way guaranteed to bring a smile…or two! 10% of our profits go directly back into the dog bowl enabling us to continue to give! A fourth brilliant way is to send us an item we can use in a charity auction. We PROMISE that we won’t tell cousin Bertha that you’re re-gifting that beautiful collar that’s too small for Fluffy. Please make sure any item that you send is new or in ‘like new’ condition. Anything animal related will be accepted with great appreciation (towels, blankets and bedding). If you have known Ecco for any length of time you know he has a SERIOUS underwear fetish! October 15, 2011 marks the first annual ‘Underwear Everywhere’ Drive. We will be collecting NEW, I repeat NEW (packaged) undies, socks and bras for our local (human) shelters. We understand that we have a few ‘creative’ fans.
